The Mystics are heading into the homestretch of the 2019 WNBA season. They’re now the top team in the regular season standings! And Elena Delle Donne keeps racking up WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week awards. Yup, she won it again!
Delle Donne averaged 22.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in Washington’s games from Aug. 5 to Aug. 11.
Delle Donne hasn’t just been on a tear individually. She has also become a more assertive on-the-court leader. After the Mystics’ win over the Lynx yesterday, she was quick to praise Emma Meesseman and her 25-point performance and Washington’s performance.
