By the Numbers: Wizards get their first win of the season

After a five-game skid to open the season, the Wizards stomped on the depleted Minnesota Timberwolves 130-109 for their first win of the year. It was a feel-good game for nearly everyone on the roster. The game wasn’t as close as even the 21-point final margin might suggest — the Timberwolves closed the gap in garbage time.

With 31 points on 20 shots, 3-5 shooting from three-point range, and 7 assists, this was Bradley Beal’s best game of the season. He scored at will on helpless Timberwolves defenders.

Thomas Bryant had another terrific game with 18 points on 7 shots, as well as 7 rebounds in just 22 minutes.
