Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is among Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez’s group of investors that have joined in a bid to buy the New York Mets, according to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure. Notable investors also include: Denver Nuggets Center Mason Plumlee, Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce, Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher, 2014 NFL Offensive Player of the Year DeMarco Murray, and offensive lineman Joe Thomas.
According to the NY Post, Rodriguez’s star-studded group has already submitted an initial bid of $1.7 billion and Mets COO Jeff Wilpon would prefer to sell to the Rodriguez-Lopez group if its offer is close to the best bid at the end of the auction.
