Beal's community work honored by NBA peers

Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal won the Seasonlong NBA Cares Community Assist Award Monday night. Beal is the second Wizard, after John Wall, to take home the award.

Wall presented the award to Beal at the NBA Awards Show. The injured point guard won the award in the 2015-16 season. The Wizards are the first to have two winners.

“I can tell you his commitment to the youth of our city is already changing their future,” Wall said.

Beal accepted the award alongside two students he’s mentored from Ron Brown College Preparatory High School in D.
