On Monday, Bradley Beal and John Wall will join forces and distribute 1,000 turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving. The Wizards’ All-Star backcourt invited families from various organizations to participate, including Ballou Senior High School, Barry Farms, Bright Beginnings, Inc., Ron Brown College Preparatory High School, and Stanton Elementary School.
Beal, who is averaging career-highs in points and assists on the court this season, was named the winner of the 2018-19 NBA Cares Community Assist Award. He won primarily for his work with Ron Brown College Prep (RBHS) and in the greater D.C. community. Wall, of course, also won the award in the 2015-16 season.
