The Washington Wizards have desperately been searching for a future cornerstone to build around since the departure of Bradley Beal.
Washington has taken their fair share of swings in the NBA Draft Lottery, but they've yet to hit the home run that gives the Wizards an All-Star caliber player that makes them feel comfortable about the state of their franchise moving forward.
There's plenty of talent on the roster to be optimistic about, but up to this point, there hasn't been a player to stamp himself as a future star the team can build around.
Fortunately for the Wizards, they may have finally found a new sense of hope with the recent sophomore leap of Alex Sarr, who's added about as much optimism a rebuilding team at the bottom of the NBA standings can have.
