The Wizards are signing Jeff Green to a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum, according to multiple reports.
As we wrote earlier, it’s unlikely Green will be as effective as Mike Scott was last season. His outside shot is very inconsistent, as is the rest of his offensive game. However, Green should be able to help in other ways. He’s a more capable defender, which might come in handy when the teams goes small late in games. He also brings some playmaking to the table which will help alleviate pressure on the team’s reserve guards.
