PULLMAN, Wash. (November 19, 2025) – Washington State refused to back down Wednesday evening at Beasley Coliseum, showing stretches of gritty basketball in an 86-59 battle with unbeaten Oregon.

The Cougars (0-5, 0-0 WCC) put together a strong offensive second half behind 37 points as a team, led by Malia Ruud's 12 fourth-quarter points. Ruud's fourth quarter propelled her to 19 points for the game, going 8-of-17 shooting while knocking down a pair of threes.

Charlotte Abraham delivered 14 points, including a perfect 6-of-6 showing at the free-throw line. Her back-to-back steals and early triples steadied WSU in the first half and kept the Cougs within striking distance.
