DAVIS, Calif. – Washington State men's golf senior Pono Yanagi posted a top-10 finish at the El Macero Classic, as the Hilo, Hawaii native carded 6-under 210 to finish in a tie for seventh on the player leaderboard.
Yanagi capped off the El Macero Classic by carding 2-under 70 in Sunday's third round to finish the tournament in a tie for seventh at 6-under 210. It is the senior's third top-10 finish of the 2022-23 season, while it is Yanagi's fourth career top-10 finish. The senior posted his career-best to-par score at the El Macero Classic by shooting 6-under during his 54 holes of play, as he shot under par in each of the tournament's three rounds.
