While many things will change with the departure of Mike Leach, the quarterback will still remain the centerpiece of Nick Rolovich’s recruiting classes for the Washington State Cougars and he’s got his commit for 2021. Xavier Ward, a senior-to-be in Corona, California, announced this morning he will be attending WSU.
The 6’2”, 195 pound quarterback from Eleanor Roosevelt High School is listed as a pro style 3-star on 247 Sports. Ward also had an offer from the Oregon State Beavers, along with the Idaho Vandals and Eastern Washington Eagles.
Ward’s arm strength is pretty good and he seems to be able to move the pocket a bit as well.
