Washington State’s 30-27 upset of USC earned two Cougars Pac-12 Player of the Week honors.

Senior kicker Erik Powell was named Pac-12 special teams player of the week, while freshman linebacker Jahad Woods was named Pac-12 defensive player of the week.

For both players, this was their first Pac-12 player of the week honor.

Powell is the first WSU kicker to win Pac-12 player of the week honors since Andrew Furney did it in 2012. Powell accounted for 12 points in the Cougars’ win, and this included a 44-yard career-long field goal and the game-winning 32-yarder with 1:40 left in the fourth quarter.
