The Cougars hosted a small conference team this weekend that should be no match talent-wise, and the WSU women’s soccer team understood the assignment. The Cougars scored early and often on Sunday en route to a 7-0 victory against Hawaii. At least one program gets it.
The Cougars blew the match open early with three goals in the first 10 minutes. Elyse Bennett scored back-to-back goals in the second half, just minutes apart. And the Cougars still added two more goals for good measure.
WSUCougars.com titled their recap “Goals on Goals on Goals” which is as accurate as it gets.
