FRESNO, Calif. (October 7, 2022) – Washington State sits fourth overall on the opening day of the Chick-Fil-A Invitational hosted by Fresno State University Friday.
The University of California owns the lead through 11 meets, UCLA sits second, San Jose State University third, WSU fourth, San Diego State fifth, and Colorado State University sixth. The opening day featured teams collecting points in diving which WSU does not have.
"We are sitting fourth, behind two impressive Pac-12 Conference teams and the defending Mountain West champions but today was one of our stronger swims as a team and I'm excited to see how we respond to an important session tomorrow," head coach Matt Leach said.
