Washington State added another player to its men’s basketball roster with the news that junior college point guard Ahmed Ali was signing with the Cougars.
Ali played the last two seasons at Eastern Florida State College where he averaged 17.9 points and 4.7 assists per game last season. He was named a second-team Division 1 All-American for his efforts.
It doesn’t appear scoring has been a challenge for Ali, as Theo Lawson noted, Ali once scored 103 points in a high school game, 66 of which game on 22 made threes.
The 5-foot-11 Ali signed with Kent State after his freshman season at junior college, but opted to make a change following this season and chose WSU over a reported offer from Virginia Tech.
