CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 14 Washington State rowing notched one win and finished second three times in its four heats during the morning session of the Clemson Invitational, Saturday, at Lake Hartwell. WSU raced closely with No. 10 Michigan in the second session.
The Cougar third varsity eight (coxswain- Taylor Brown, stroke- Jenna Kennedy, Katrina Tarrant, Jill Hannink, Megan Lee, Grace Arnis, Miranda Armstrong, Colleen Gibbons, bow- Tammy Hilgendorf) notched a win under tough wind conditions in the tightest race of the morning session. Facing six competitors on a 1,500-meter course, WSU stroked out to an early lead in the race and held on through its entirety.
