WSU has little trouble with Incarnate Word, 87-59

Isaac Bonton posted the first double-double of his career and the Washington State Cougars rolled to an 87-59 win over the Incarnate Word Cardinals on Saturday in Pullman.

The Cougs improved to 8-4 as they led from wire to wire behind Bonton, who did something he hasn’t done much this year: Score with efficiency. WSU’s second-leading scorer posted 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting, including 2-of-4 from three-point range. He also added 12 rebounds, with seven of those coming on the offensive end, and six assists.

The Cardinals (3-9) are one of the worst teams in Division I, and it showed, particularly on the defensive end as the Cougars had one of their best shooting nights of the season — WSU hit 7-of-18 from beyond the arc and their effective field goal percentage of 54.
