WSU gets coveted defensive tackle recruit in new commit Ahmir Crowder

Under Alex Grinch, Washington State has emphasized speed and length in its defensive recruiting. But after coming out of the 2017 recruiting cycle without getting a true defensive tackle, the Cougars got good news on that front on Monday night, when Crenshaw (Los Angeles) High defensive tackle Ahmir Crowder announced his commitment to WSU.

Crowder is listed at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, and he’s from the same high school where the Cougars got defensive end Derek Moore.

Crowder committed to WSU via a twitter announcement Monday night, saying, “Extremely proud to be part of the family. Once a Cougar, always a Cougar.
