Washington State added more pass-rushing clout to its recruiting class on Monday night, when defensive end R.J. Stone committed to the Cougars via Twitter.

Stone, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound pass rusher from Valley Christian High in San Jose, Calif., announced his commitment to WSU and thanked his coaches and family for their support.

Stone chose WSU from an offer list that included San Diego State, Arizona State, Utah, Nevada and Colorado State.

Stone told Scout.com national recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman that he was taken by the familial atmosphere surrounding the WSU program.

“The chemistry that all the players have, it’s like a true family,” Stone told Huffman.
