Preston Hendry, the 6-foot-5 defensive end from Orange Coast College signed his letter of intent today to play for Washington State. As one of the top junior college prospects, he announced in November that he would be continuing his football career in Pullman.
After converting from a receiver to a strong side defensive end his senior year of high school, Hendry found himself at Orange Coast. In his freshman year he had 53 tackles, 15.5 tackles for a loss, and 5.5 sacks. This past season he finished with 17 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks in 8 games.
