PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's soccer team (5-1-1) defeated Northern Colorado, 6-0, Thursday night at Lower Soccer Field. Junior Margie Detrizio led the Cougars with two goals, while seniors MacKenzie Frimpong-Ellertson and Bridget Rieken each tallied their first goals of the season.
Entering the 11th minute, junior Jenna Studer played a ball down the right flank for Frimpong-Ellertson to run onto. Frimpong-Ellertson played a floating cross into the near post where Detrizio managed to get her right foot to the ball and play a lobbed shot over an outstretched UNC goalkeeper and into the upper-right corner.
