WSU Cougars news: Las Vegas defensive end commits to WSU

As we race toward the early football signing period in December, WSU continues to rack up verbal commitments. Gabriel Lopez is the latest to join the party. The pass rusher out of the Sin City pulled the trigger on Tuesday evening to safeties coach Kendrick Shavers. The 6-foot-3 227 pound 3 star recruit is ranked the 12th best player in the state of Nevada and the 99th best defensive end in the country by 247sports.com.

Lopez boasted one other Power 5 offer from nationally ranked Minnesota as well as Mountain West schools Colorado State, Fresno State and Hawaii.
