You can now add “state champion” to the long list of accomplishments by Washington State Cougars quarterback commit Cammon Cooper: His Lehi Pioneers won the Utah title Friday night with a 55-17 blowout of Skyridge.
Cooper threw for just 262 yards in poor conditions, but he accounted for seven touchdowns, one of which was a 44-yard run.
"The receivers were making great catches and I ran the ball when I had to," Cooper said. "Things were just open for me and all-around it was just a great game for us."
Lehi was winless four years ago, when Cooper was a freshman.
