In this space we normally chronicle weekly Pac-12 rankings, but before the calendar flips to November let’s take a monthly review at the conference.
In short, September belonged to Stanford running back Bryce Love and Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate took over in October.
Following a 180-yard performance in the season opener, Love began September with 160 yards on 17 carries against USC, which inexplicably was his worst outing of the month.
Over the next three weeks he tallied 184 yards on 13 carries at San Diego State; 263 yards on 25 carries against UCLA and a school-record 301 yards on 30 attempts against Arizona State.
