BERKELEY, Calif. – Kristine Anigwe scored 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the 24th-ranked California women’s basketball team to a 66-60 victory over Washington State on Sunday.
Cal (13-4 overall, 4-2 Pac-12) scored the last seven points of the game.
Borislava Hristova led WSU (8-10, 1-5) with 25 points and Louise Brown added 10.
Anigwe tied the score at 60 by making a free throw with 1:40 remaining and then gave the Golden Bears the lead on a basket with 28 seconds left.
Chanelle Molina of the Cougars made a turnover with 14 seconds left and Cal’s Asha Thomas sank four free throws in the final 13 seconds to close out scoring.
