Washington State opens preseason camp with USC transfer Trey Davis

The first practice of any season doesn’t tend to offer too many surprises, but that changed this year when Trey Davis, a true freshman defensive back from Federal Way, stepped onto the field for the Cougs.

Davis, a three-star recruit who enrolled early at USC before entering the transfer portal last month, was recruited by WSU and apparently has a family connection to Pullman, according to Theo Lawson of The Spokesman-Review, via TrojanSports.com:

According to TrojanSports.com, Davis has family ties to Pullman, which could explain his sudden move to the Palouse. Davis missed the majority of his senior season at Federal Way due to a injury but managed to earn PrepStar All-Western Region honors.
