The Cougars feel good about the pair of promising young receivers who will make their first career starts in the Holiday Bowl against Michigan State on Dec. 28.
Starting outside receivers Tavares Martin Jr. and Isaiah Johnson-Mack combined for more than a quarter of Washington State’s receptions and yardage, and about 40 percent of the Cougars’ receiving touchdowns this season before they left the football team earlier this month.
In most circumstances, losing that sort of production would be a significant hit to an offense reliant on its passing game, but the Cougars feel good about the pair of promising young receivers who will make their first career starts in the Holiday Bowl against Michigan State on Thursday.
