Washington baseball shuts out Saint Mary’s 3-0

Three Washington pitchers combined to shutout Saint Mary’s, 3-0, Sunday at Husky Ballpark, giving the Huskies wins in three of four games over the Gaels.

After dropping the Friday night game 5-3, the Pac-12 leading Huskies (22-14) rebounded to win the final three games of the series over WCC-leading St. Mary’s (22-15).

UW’s pitching staff allowed just two runs over the final three games, including recording its second shutout of the season. Greg Minier (4-0) set the tone for the pitching staff, throwing five scoreless innings, allowing four hits, one walk and striking out a batter to pick up his fourth win of the season.
