FAIRFIELD, Conn. – McKenna Woodford's 11 kills led the Washington State volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-20, 25-17 win over Fairfield University (3-5) as the Cougars moved to a 7-1 record Friday night at the Fairfield Invitational at Alumni Gym in Fairfield, Conn.
Woodford, a junior from Chandler, Ariz., hit .318 and had a pair of blocks in the win. Casey Schoenlein and Taylor Mims each added nine kills each. Ella Lajos led the match with six blocks as the Cougars out-blocked the home-court Stags 9.
