Video: Washington State guard Viont’e Daniels post scrimmage Oct. 21

PULLMAN – The Washington State men’s basketball team capitalized on Homecoming weekend and held an open scrimmage Saturday afternoon at Beasley Coliseum. A few-hundred fans came out to watch the new-edition Cougars, who bring back just a single starter – sophomore guard Malachi Flynn – from last year’s team.

“This is the team that will change the direction (of the program),” fourth-year Ernie Kent proclaimed to the audience following the workout.

As many as seven new faces could see the floor this season (that total includes redshirts) and Saturday’s crowd had to be impressed by at least one of them, Carter Skaggs, who hoisted up and connected on a few 3-pointers during the intrasquad scrimmage.
