FULLERTON, Calif. – Malachi Flynn scored 24 points, Robert Franks added 22 and undefeated Washington State beat San Diego State 93-86 for the Wooden Legacy championship on Sunday night.
Jeff Pollard added 16 points for the Cougars (6-0), who shot 46.8 percent overall, including 13 of 28 from 3-point range, with Flynn making 6 of 11 from the arc.
Devin Watson scored 23 and Trey Kell 19 for the Aztecs (5-2).
The lead changed hands 14 times and was tied on 12 occasions.
Neither team led by double figures but the Aztecs went up by nine on Matt Mitchell’s 3-pointer with 8:25 remaining.
