Pia Timmer and Magda Jehlarova were named offensive and defensive Pac-12 Player of the week on Monday following two upset victories over top-25 opponents this past week. The victories over #24 Colorado and #6 Washington notched the Cougars 7th and 8th consecutive victories.
Timmer, who also won Offensive Player of the Week last week, finished the two matches with 40 kills, 28 digs, 6 aces, and 7 blocks. In Sunday’s game against Washington, she put up career high’s in digs (21), blocks (7), and aces (4). Her 31 kills against Washington also landed her 4th on the Cougars All-Time list and the most in a home match.
