In Case You Missed It
... The Match In Few Words
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a battle for a spot in the national quarterfinals, Washington State (10-8-4) came up just short as #16 Florida (17-6-0) scored a golden goal in the 104' to end the Cougs postseason run Sunday afternoon. After an even matchup that saw both sides dominate the ball for long stretches, it was only fitting that the two sides went to extra-time to decide a winner. After a 10 minute stalemate in the first overtime, the Gators broke through 3:39 into the second extra period when Deanne Rose slipped free behind the Cougs' backline and slotted home the game-winner.
