Study shows Pac-12 athletes don't get enough sleep

The Pac-12 recently conducted a study looking into the time demands student-athletes -- including at WSU -- face and a lack of sleep proved to be the biggest issue. CBS Sports obtained the study which details how student-athletes spend their time with many bringing up the lack of sleep from athletic requirements.

Of the 409 student-athletes polled, 71 percent said they aren't getting enough sleep due to athletic requirements. In addition to the mandated practice times, student-athletes have voluntary workouts, treatments and traveling. It all added up to an average of 50 hours a week spent on athletics during the season.
