Stanford women improve to 63-0 in games against Washington State

STANFORD, Calif. – It was business as usual for the Stanford women’s basketball team against Washington State.

Alanna Smith scored 20 points to help the Cardinal beat WSU 70-57 on Friday night.

Stanford improved its record against the Cougars to 63-0. Nineteen of the Cardinal’s last 20 victories over WSU have been by double-digit margins.

Kaylee Johnson added 10 points and 15 rebounds for Stanford (10-7 overall, 4-1 Pac-12). Brittany McPhee, a graduate of Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, had 12 points, five assists and three steals.

Chanelle Molina led the Cougars (8-9, 1-4) with a season-high 19 points.
