The Stanford Cardinal ended a week of speculation a day early, announcing Friday that running back Bryce Love will play Saturday against Washington State.
Love missed Stanford’s game against Oregon State last week with an ankle injury. The 15-14 win probably felt a little — or a lot — too close for the Cardinal. Coach David Shaw had said earlier this week that their star running back was “feeling better this week than last week” but that he would “probably be a game-time decision.”
In seven games, Love has rushed for 1,387 yards on 135 carries — an average of 10.
