In Case You Missed It
PULLMAN, Wash. – Despite controlling play for most of the night, No. 15 Washington State (9-3-0, 2-2-0) fell victim to some bad luck and timely defense by No. 25 Arizona (8-3-0, 2-2-0) as the Wildcats came to Lower Soccer Field and stole a 1-0 win over the Cougars on cold night on the Palouse. Throughout the contest the Cougars peppered the Wildcats' goal only to be turned away time and time again by Arizona's goalkeeper, Hope Hinsley and her backline. Even when the Cougs beat the young keeper they were not rewarded with a goal as three different times WSU saw its potential strike cleared off the line by Arizona's last defender.
