SEATTLE (July 11, 2023) – Washington State infielder Sam Brown was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 12th round of the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft Tuesday.
Brown is the second Cougar selected in the draft, joining outfielder Jonah Advincula who went to the Cleveland Guardians in the eighth round Monday. Brown is the first Cougar drafted by the Angels since outfielder Kyle Johnson was selected in the 25th round of the 2012 draft.
