Robinson Cano wasn't in the Mariners' lineup on Wednesday after suffering an abdomen strain on Monday.
Robinson Cano wasn’t in the Mariners’ lineup on Wednesday because of an abdomen strain, manager Lloyd McClendon said.
Cano felt the injury on Monday making a play at second base, and McClendon said it has gotten a little worse since then. “It’s a precaution,” McClendon said.
McClendon said Cano would have an MRI on Wednesday and said Cano is day-to-day. McClendon expects Cano to make the road trip with the team on Thursday. He was hoping to know the MRI results by Wednesday afternoon.
