Washington State football coach Mike Leach met with Tennessee athletic director John Currie in Los Angeles on Thursday to discuss the Volunteers' head-coaching vacancy, a source told The Associated Press.
The source spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because neither side intended to make the meeting public. Leach was scheduled to fly back to Pullman, Washington, later Thursday.
The Vols and Leach have not negotiated, and a deal between the two is not imminent, a source told ESPN.
Leach has been at Washington State for six years and is 38-37, but 26-12 the last three seasons, including 19-8 in the Pac-12.
