If you thought that football was the only athletics event in Pullman this weekend, you would be sorely mistaken. Soccer, volleyball, and women’s basketball were all in action, and CougCenter was there covering it all.
Thursday - Women’s soccer versus #5 USC
The most highly-anticipated game of the season for women’s soccer did not disappoint, as WSU and #5 USC went head-to-head for 90 minutes plus overtime. While the game resulted in a 0-0 draw, the Cougars controlled the pace of play against the Trojans who lead the league in goals scored this season.
Friday - Volleyball versus #15 Stanford
Cougar volleyball, fresh off of a 4-game win streak on the road against the Arizona and Oregon schools, returned to Bohler Gymnasium for the first time in three weeks to face off against #15 Stanford.
