SAN FRANCISCO — Washington State sophomore hurdler John Paredes was named Pac-12 Men's Track Athlete of the Week after capturing a second-consecutive win in the men's 110m hurdles last weekend in Pullman at the Cougar Classic at Mooberry Track.
Paredes, coming off of a win in the 110m hurdles at the Brian Clay Invitational, crossed the finish line at Saturday's Cougar Classic with fastest time in the Pac-12 this season at 13.42, also bringing him into a tie for the ninth-best time in all of Division I.
The lifetime-best mark for the Cali, Colombia native was also a new Under-23 South American record as Saturday's time at Mooberry Track places Paredes at No.
