Amidst country-wide restrictions on crowd sizes, sports leagues suspending their seasons, and even a star player testing positive for the COVID-19 virus, the Pac-12 Conference announced this morning they were cancelling the remainder of their men’s basketball tournament in Las Vegas.
As part of the announcement, the Pac-12 also cancelled all sporting events until further notice, meaning the outdoor track and field, softball, and baseball seasons will not move forward until a to be determined date.
As of this writing (and the news is coming fast and changing quickly), the only conference tournament currently going on is the Big East Tournament with the Big West, America East, MAAC, MEAC, Southland, and SWAC yet to make a decision on whether they will cancel as well.
