SPOKANE, Wash. (Nov. 1, 2025) – Washington State redshirt-junior Yura Nakagawa won two singles matches to highlight the Cougars second day of play at the Gonzaga Invitational, played Saturday at the Stevens Center.
Nakagawa began the day with a 6-7 (5), 6-4, 10-4 victory over Idaho's Hanna Koprowski in the quarterfinals of the Blue Flight. In her semifinal match, she again needed a third-set tiebreaker to advance, getting past Oregon's Hinata Furutani, 6-3, 1-6, 10-5, to reach Sunday's final.
Also in the Blue Flight, junior Zali Morris played two close sets before falling to Oregon's Bridget Mihulka, 6-4, 6-4.
