CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington State women's soccer team defeated Oregon State, 1-0, Wednesday night at Paul Lorenz Field in Corvallis, Oregon. Cougar freshman delivered her second game-winning goal of the season, rocketing home a direct free kick strike in the second half to extend the WSU unbeaten streak against OSU to nine matches.
Mitchell delivered a goal for the second-consecutive match, scoring in the 83rd minute for the second-latest Cougar goal of the year. The Henderson, Nevada defensive freshman, is second on the team with three goals to her name.
The Cougars applied pressure throughout a match with a pair of penalty video-review checks, putting six of 17 shots on target.
