Linebacker RJ Stone commits to WSU

The Washington State Cougars picked up a commitment from the latest candidate for the #SpeedD when RJ Stone announced on Monday his intention to play for WSU.

Stone is rated a composite three-star prospect, and he picked the Cougs over the Arizona State Sun Devils following his official visit to Pullman a couple of weekends ago. He also reportedly held Pac-12 offers from the Utah Utes and Oregon State Beavers, as well as most of the Mountain West Conference.

He’s listed as a defensive end by 247, but Stone’s physical dimensions are on the lighter side — just 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds — which fit right in with WSU’s philosophy of recruiting speed first and foremost on that side of the ball.
