SAN FRANCISCO – Washington State women's basketball player Charlisse Leger-Walker has been named the Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season, as announced by the Conference office Monday, Jan. 25.
The guard from Waikato, New Zealand averaged 23.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game during the Cougars recent to trip to Oregon and Oregon State. Leger-Walker scored 20-plus points in back-to-back contests for the second time this season over the weekend, while she made the game-winning shot in WSU's thrilling 77-75 double-overtime win at Oregon State this past Sunday, Jan 24.
