Troy Perkins almost had a road shutout for Seattle until Montreal scores in the 88th minute
MONTREAL — For 87 minutes, it appeared that Sounders goalkeeper Troy Perkins would have fond memories of his return to Montreal.
Belgian international Laurent Ciman spoiled any happy-ending scenario for Perkins and his teammates when he scored on a header in the 88th minute to give the Montreal Impact a 1-0 victory against the Sounders in front of a crowd of 17,209 at Stade Saputo on Saturday night.
Perkins, who turns 34 Wednesday, spent the past three seasons with the Impact.
