EUGENE, Ore. - After qualifying for nationals with a personal best jump of 2.18m, Mitch Jacobson raised his lifetime best high jump mark to 2.21m and finished fifth overall while Colton Johnsen placed 11th in the steeplechase final as the Washington State men's track and field team closed out the 2022 NCAA Championships Friday evening at Hayward Field.
Jacobsen was one of only four in the field to clear both 2.10m and 2.15 on his first attempts to start the day. He ran into trouble at 2.18m, missing on his first two before clearing his third jump.
