PULLMAN, Wash. (June 7, 2023) – Washington State Baseball senior Jacob McKeon was named to the Academic All-America First Team, the College Sports Communicators announced Wednesday.
McKeon earned Academic All-America second-team honors last season and was named the 2023 Pac-12 Conference Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The senior designated hitter is the fourth Cougar to earn multiple Academic All-America honors and first since catcher/outfielder Collin Slaybaugh in 2013-14.
McKeon, a two-time All-Pac-12 selection, excelled in the classroom during every season in Pullman, is a two-time Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll selection, was named to the Academic All-District Team last month and graduated with a 3.
