The Cougar women’s soccer team was riding high last season with their highest ranking ever in the top 10. They were unable to quite maintain that success for the entire season as they bowed out in the second round of the NCAA tournament. One of the reasons that they were unable to keep up that pace was an injury to star goalkeeper Ella Dederick. A silver lining to this is that Dederick has now been granted a sixth year of eligibility for 2019 for an extension of the clock waiver by the NCAA.
As a junior Dederick was selected third team All-Pac-12.
